Celebrate our birthday with this DIY Cake Craft!

DIY Crafts

Make your own birthday cake keepsake box in 6 easy steps!

This is a fun project for kids and parents alike and makes such a cute keepsake box!

For the project you'll need:

  • 2 round boxes with lids
  • Air dry clay
  • Decorations like pearls and ribbon
  • Acrylic Paints in assorted colours

    Instructions:

    1.  Find two round boxes with lids, one smaller than the other, so you can stack them.
    2.
Paint them with acrylic paints, any colour you want your cake to be. I did mine in my favourite flavour…chocolate! But you can be creative and choose any colour you want – it’s up to you!
    3.
Using air dry clay, roll small balls for cake decorations and let them dry. Paint them too! Then decorate the cake by gluing down the air dry clay balls.
    4.
Glue on small pearl beads and some ribbon bows.
    5.
Glue the smaller box on to the larger one.
    6.
Add a candle and you’re set to celebrate!
